Today I head back to school. It's been over 10 years since I stepped into a classroom as a student and I'm a little nervous. Luckily, I don't believe in signs because if I did I think I would stay home. Last night was crazy. I wanted to get to bed early, but I just could not fall asleep. I decided to get up and get a drink of water. I picked up my glasses from my nightstand and the arm broke off. Great! How I'm I suppose to see? Ken tried to superglue it back together, but it didn't work. I have an old pair on now, the prescription is a little different but at least I can see everything.
Anyways, after trying to fix my glasses and getting a drink I went back to bed. It was around midnight when I finally fell asleep (my normal bed time is 10). At 4:45 our smoke detectors went off. Obviously, it woke me up and scared the you know what out of me. They only went off for less then a minute but they did their job. There was no fire. This is the second time this has happened, the first time was a year or two ago. We have no idea why it goes off and when we talked to the fire station last time, they couldn't give us an answer either.
After I walked through the house to make sure everything was fine, I went back to bed. I just laid there. I just couldn't get back to sleep. Then at 5:30 my alarm went off. I'm tired. Not how I wanted my first day to go.
Well, I'm going to eat a good breakfast and stop and get a very large coffee to help me get through my long class.
