Papercraft Star: Challenge 19

Just a quick post to show off my latest card for the Papercraft Star Challenge.  I used some Maya Road products I won a 2Peas during the Thinking Ink Holiday Class.  The Pear felt sticker and the label stamp are from Maya Road. Most of the paper, ribbon and brads are Close to My Heart.  The orange and brown paper was from my stash.

Halloween & Fall Cards

I've been in the mood to create but haven't had the time to do any scrapbooking, so that's when I make cards.  I enjoy making cards because they are little works of art that I get to share.  Since it's getting cold and the leaves are changing color I was inspired to make some Halloween and Fall Cards.

I'm following the Thinking Inking Class over at 2Peas so I used the techniques that Jennifer was showing.  I also used the challenge at Papercraft Star for the Halloween cards.  I normally don't make Halloween cards, but I think that is going to change. I love Halloween and these cards were so easy to create.  Supplies Used are Tim Holtz Distress Ink, Hero Arts Stamps and some very, very old Do Dads I found in my stash.

My wedding anniversary is coming up this weekend.  It's been 11 amazing years!  I always have a hard time buying my husband a gift.  He is the type of person that get things when he wants them. So what to do.... I happened to be at the bookstore and noticed a new book.  It was perfect.  My hubby loves the Steelers.  We have a wall in our basement that is a dedication to this football team.  The book is The Ones Who Hit the Hardest: the Steelers, the Cowboys, he 70s, and the Fight for America's Soul by Chad Millman and Shawn Coyne.  I'm hoping he will like this and that he doesn't read this until next week. :)

I also made the following card for him:

I used the sketch from the PaperCraft Star Challenge.

The rest of the celebration will be a nice dinner at home after the kids are in bed. We usually watch our wedding video and look at our photos.  The boys usually have a good time watching everyone in the video having fun and seeing family members that have passed.  It will be a good day!
