One Little Word Blog Hop

Hello and welcome to my blog!  If you are coming here from Cheri blog, I'm glad you could stop by.  I hope you are enjoying this One Little Word Blog hop.  If you are unfamiliar with One Little Word be sure to visit Big Picture Classes or Ali Edwards Blog for more information. The short explanation is instead of a resolution for the year, you have a word to inspire you.

My word for this year is IGNITE.  If you would like to see what I've posted about my word already please check out this post and this post.

So far, I really love my word. It's given me so much energy and a positive outlook that anything is possible. One thing that I have noticed was that it's helped me with my blog. I've been trying to blog for a few years now and I just could never get inspired to keep writing. This year a passion has ignited in me to start fresh.  I changed my blog name and didn't put any rules or pressure on my blogging. To my amazement I've posted something everyday.  I almost have as many post in January as I had all of last year!

I've noticed my word working it's magic in other ways. When this word first started showing itself to me, I was ignoring it. I didn't think it would be a good word. I keep trying to find a better word. After I heard Ali say let the word pick you, I realized that I needed to use this word. It's a good fit for me and I'm glad it picked me and I listened.

Your next stop in this blog hop is at Jan's blog.  If you get lost or would like to start at the beginning of the blog hop here is a list of all the participants:

  3. Ignite is a fabulous word. The song Firework by Katy Perry popped into my head. Have you heard it? Lyrics talk about how "you're a firework, just light the spark and you can ignite up the night" or something like that. I hope it leads you on a fabulous journey in 2011.

  13. I took the photo with a slow shutter speed and had my camera on a tripod. It took a few tries and many matches but I finally got one that I was happy to use.
