Card Challenge

I'm really enjoying the Less Is More challenges.  This weeks challenge

A One Layer Card with the SENTIMENT
as the focus of your creation.

The first one I made was this
Cuttle bug die. Autumn Leaves Swirl Stamp.
but I felt that the dog was the focus not the sentiment. So I made this card

Cuttle but embossing folder. Distressing Ink.

I was having so much fun I also made this card

CTMH Stamp Set. Distressing Ink.

I love when I challenge gets you to pull out tools that you haven't used in a long time. My cuttle bug has just been sitting there, so I was glad to use it not only once, but twice in one day.

  2. I agree with you on the first card...and it looks like the second card was definitely all about the sentiment! Great job on all the cards!

  3. I agree on the first card, but all cards are lovely. I particularly like the key stamp set and the distressed look. Lynn x

  7. Hi Monica,
I'm thrilled that our challenge is inspiring you in your cardmaking. To do three for a particular challenge seems to be becoming the norm with several LIMettes!
These are great, I love the dog one, but tend to agree about the predominance of the image.
The last one is super but I tend to feel that if you had the colour tones the other way round, the stronger shade would have made the sentiment stand out more. It may appear different in reality, but the strength of the blue grabs the eye rather than the message in the sentiment!
Is that last one a scan? It doesn't look as vital as the other two pics.
What a wonderful bunch of work to show to us.
Thanks so much and we'll see you next time!

  8. The stamp I used in the third card is from a CTMH set. I don't know the name, but it was a special set from a few years ago.
