One Little Word Blog Hop

Xnomads' Blog

Hello and welcome to my blog!  If you are coming here from Nikki's blog, I'm glad you could stop by.  I hope you are enjoying this One Little Word Blog hop.  If you are unfamiliar with One Little Word be sure to visit Big Picture Classes or Ali Edwards Blog for more information. The short explanation is instead of a resolution for the year, you have a word to inspire you.

This month was a struggle for me. I wasn't sure if I would be able to work on this month's assignment. The month started out very stressful and my normal routine was very off course. I didn't even listen to Ali's message until the second week of the month. When she talked about most people losing site of there word this month, I had to agree. If it wasn't for this class I don't think I would have focused on my word. After listening to her message, I still wasn't sure if I would be motivated to focused on my work, Ignite.

I just let everything brew in my mind and then things started showing themselves on their own.  My stress level lowered and I was able to get my routines back on track. That's when I started working on my pages for this month.  Here's what the pages look like in my album.

The challenge for the month was to do one little thing, but did a few. The page on the left has some close up photos of four of the things I planned on doing this month.  Drinking more water, Reading The gifts of Imperfection, Getting back to doing P90X, and posting about food allergies on my blog.

The page on the right shows the calendar for March with the items I wanted to work on during the month.  Also a short summary of what I worked on.

The back of the page was a challenge. I wasn't sure what I should do with the back.  I decided to put the lyrics to the song that helped me pick my word.  I really love the song, it always lifts my spirit.

If your not familar with the song Firework by Katy Perry here is the video.

  9. That what is great about commitment...it helps us back up when we drift, or are jerked, to a stop. It reminds me of having an exercise buddy. Your pages are wonderful and it sounds like your word is really working in your life. Hang in there. We're all right in there with you, trying and failing and starting again.

  13. Monica, I enjoyed reading your post. And I have to say that I, too, had the 'slump' in March and didn't feel like doing much with my OLW. But I think that is past, and I hope the same for you. Thanks for sharing your experience.
